*Kanye West has joined the lineup for this weekend's Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif., a largely alternative rock event featuring such acts as Depeche Mode, Tool, Franz Ferdinand, Daft Punk and Massive Attack. In another departure, Madonna has also been added to the roster.

Madonna has announced a show in California this April that will be her first ever festival appearance. She will kick off a summer tour with a gig at the two-day Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Daft Punk and Massive Attack are also lined up for the event.

Madonna announced yesterday that she will be performing at this year's Coachella Music Festival in California. The Material Mom joins an eclectic lineup for the well-regarded fest, with other artists on the bill ranging from Daft Punk to The Eagles Of Death Metal.
