Growing up, Alexi Laiho, leader of the Finnish metal band Children of Bodom, first became enamored with rabid hard rock when his sister exposed him to the first W.A.S.P. album. When asked what bands of today excite him, the list he rattles off -- Shadows Fall, Lamb of God, Trivium - is decidedly American.

After headlining the Sounds Of The Underground 2005 Touring Festival ending in August 2005, Lamb Of God bunkered down in their hometown of Richmond Virginia to begin the writing process on the follow-up to the bands 2004's release Ashes Of The Wake.

The metal legends will launch the tour, fitting to their satanic style, on 6/6/06. In the meantime the band has begun recording its next album with Rick Rubin, and original drummer Dave Lombardo has returned to the fold for the effort.
