Peter Walker & Sabrosa Purr Set Rock Spaceland This Thursday

Peter Walker is like a proud papa. Only he's not proud of a son or daughter, unless you consider his upcoming album, Young Gravity, which will be released through Dangerbird Records on April 11, his baby. “I’ve definitely grown as a singer,” he says. “I had a higher level of confidence going into this record, and I think you can hear it”.
Aaron Espinoza, of Earlimart and Jim Fairchild, of Grandaddy produced the album, and it was mixed by Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Tom Waits, Modest Mouse). The album was recorded at Elliott Smith’s studio in Van Nuys, Calif., one of the first records to be cut there since Smith’s death. Also, bassist-singer Tim Hutton is the son of Three Dog Night singer Danny Hutton, so Peter, in fact, does have a lot to be proud of.
To get warmed up for a possible tour around release date, Peter will be playing a few shows, including a Thursday night gig at Spaceland in Los Angeles with L.A. natives Sabrosa Purr (who are the resident band this month).
