SEPULTURA drummer IGOR CAVALERA has rubbished rumours he has left the group - he pulled out of tour dates to spend time with his newborn son.

The percussionist will be absent from European dates, prompting claims he has quit for good.

But Cavalera says, "I wanna be with my family and specially with my new born son ANTONIO.

"I'm not leaving Sepulture, it's just that I need this time for me."

And he has the backing of brother MAX: "I think it's real good that Igor has taken the time off from the band to devote to his kid."
