The group jetted into London for a few days to make the announcement and play a gig on February 19 at London's Hard Rock Cafe.
"We haven't done a club show in a long time so the novelty factor was there by the imperial gallon," bass player Tom Hamilton said on the group's Web site (http://www.aerosmith.com). "The audience was right in our face splattering us with their energy and all we had to do was hand it back."
The trek proper begins June 6 in Randers, Denmark, and will run through July 12 in Moscow. Beforehand, the group will play in Dubai and Mumbai, India. Also on the itinerary is a June 24 appearance at the London festival Hyde Park Calling.
No release date has been set for the group's first album of original material since 2001's "Just Push Play." Work has been delayed by throat surgery for singer Steven Tyler, and cancer treatment for Hamilton.
