Australia's Seven Has Had Approaches For Telstra Dome

SYDNEY (Dow Jones)--Australia's Seven Network Ltd. (SEV.AU) has received various approaches for its Telstra Dome Stadium in Melbourne's Docklands area, but it has no announcements to make at this stage, Chief Financial Officer Peter Lewis said Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters after the group's first half results, Lewis said the company doesn't consider the stadium a core asset.

Lewis said it was too early to predict full year legal costs for the group's C7 court case against Publishing & Broadcasting Ltd. (PBL.AU), News Corp. (NWS) and Telstra Corp. (TLS) but noted that if the case continues for the entirety of the second half, the first half's costs of A$27 million would be a reasonable guide.

Chief Executive David Leckie said while it was still "early days," he was encouraged by the television division's start to the second half of the fiscal year, although noted that the advertising market remains very "short term."
