I have just realized that I've barely looked at my computer for about a week .. That must mean I have had a pretty amzing right? .. Wrong!! .. Well actually.. I was kidding .. I have had an amazing time. Let me tell you about it!

Our story starts in San Franciso, we have just arrived from Minnepolis the day before our story starts. Me and Carl have a car and decide to head to Big Sur, very beautiful place. Driving is definitely the way to see America. Johnny has a bike and goes driving in Napa Valley.

Gig the next day but not before a little drive around the bay taking in both bridges (G. Gate, East Bay) . . at slim's . . very cool place, good food. Saw our friends in Mohair again who actually arrived ten minutes before their sound check (they drove from Minneapolis, poor sods) We did a very good gig, there's nothing like warm weather to free up energy.. energy which me and Carl used to drive halfway down to L.A. during the night.. Along the 101, wondering if that's the road that Albert Hammond Jr. sings about. Stopped at the Super 8 Motel and continued on to the CBS Late, Late Show in L.A. I really, really think that the best way to understand America is to drive through it. Everything seems to be built on the assumption that everyone has a car and so pretty much everything makes a lot more sense if you're driving.

Ahh .. L.A. the city we hadn't played for years.. And now we finally have .. the El Rey theater.. I had an awesome gig .. one of the best of the tour. Lots of interesting people back stage after and at the party at the hotel. A little sprinkle of new Hollywood. Nice. Our third day in L.A. (with gig in San Diego in the evening) was spent lounging about Santa Monica Beach eating Sopp Semla, a swedish delicacy. After that a swift drive south on the I-5 and a very snug little gig at the Casbah. Saw one of the rulers of Turbojugend in the front row.. cool.

Slightly sad after the gig.. Me and Carl had to return the Widow (our Mustang) which had taken us 1038 miles across the Californian landscape, but, we were going to Mexico City in the morning which lifted our hearts.

Three hours of sleep later and we're off on a jet plane to Central America! Feeling very dazed and slightly confused as one does now and again... nothing that some quesadillas and a healthy dose of tequila with sangrita as chaser can't cure. Had a great night out and once again discovered that the world is a very small place by meeting a girl who'd just moved back to Mexico after spending some time in London. Having a local guide definitely helps in strange foreign places .. I really need to learn Spanish.. beautiful language..

Must mention the Mexico City gig as well, one of the best crowds we've ever had. Very enthusiastic to say the least! Big Muchas Gracias to the Razorlight to Mexico Campaign who made it all happen!!

Well .. that's it for now .. Will try to keep ya'll updated with all the texas fun were currently having.
