R&B crooner Keith Sweat joins a cast that includes Ginuwine, Ne-Yo, Shai, Ray-J, M.C. Magic and Marcos Hernandez for Tucson's seventh annual Sunday Nite Slow Jams Live concert Sunday night.
It's billed as an intimate, all-ages show, but the intimacy is sure to be somewhat lost in the cavernous Tucson Arena (Main Stages map, Page XX). Fans of Sweat's smooth-talking tune "Why Me Baby" or Ne-Yo's "Let Me Love You" will get the same effect, though, whether they are with a few fans or thousands.
The concert is a spinoff of the syndicated Slow Jams show hosted by KOHT (98.3-FM) disc jockey R Dub (Randy Williams). Although the show is heard in some 30 cities, the live concert was limited to Tucson until last year when Williams opened it to other cities.
Sunday's concert gets started at 7 p.m. Tickets are $29-$51 through Ticketmaster, 321-1000.
