Talk Radio 702 is scheduled to be back to its normal frequency after a fire damaged its Ga-Rankuwa, North West, transmitter early last month.
The station has been broadcasting on 540KHz while probes were conducted as to what caused the fire.
Sentech, which owns the transmitter, found that an electro-mechanical problem caused the fire.
The station has applied to Icasa to allow it to continue broadcasting on 540KHz as a back-up for its primary signal and to allow for the smooth transition of its listeners back to 702KHz.
Sentech's sales and marketing manager, Michelle Potgieter, said 702 was due to start broadcasting on 702KHz from noon on Monday. - Staff Reporter
