Body found near Finch and Weston
Last updated Mar 13 2006 02:21 PM EST
CBC News

Toronto police are investigating the city's eleventh murder of the year.

The body of a man was found lying near the end of a driveway between a mesh fence and a parked SUV on Lindylou Road near Weston Avenue and Finch Avenue Sunday night.

Details are sketchy, but police say the man, who appears to have been in his 20s, was shot in the chest.

Officers say the man did not live at the house where his body was found.

Police say the shooting likely happened at an address on Daystrum Drive, directly behind Lindylou Road. Officers found the lights on in the basement at the Daystrum Drive home, but no one home.

Police are now looking for the missing tenant, 19-year-old Zalika Ellis, and her seven-month-old daughter. They say they are concerned for the pair's safety.
