High Winds Fan Three-Alarm Apartment Fire

COBB COUNTY -- A fire at a Marietta apartment complex today damaged two dozen units -- leaving more than 100 people homeless. Witnesses called for help after seeing a fire on a balcony at one of the units in the Highland Parc Apartments on Powers Ferry Place. City spokesman Matthew Daily says that in all, three buildings were burned and 24 apartments were damaged. Daily says there are no reports of injuries. The source and cause of the fire are still under investigation.
