Okay, so Scott Stapp's a little slow on the legal front. News of a XXX video tape featuring Scott Stapp and Kid Rock having sex with a bunch of groupies broke in the middle of February. Within a matter of days, Kid Rock responded with an injunction, asking to have sales of the tape blocked. Scott said the tape was stolen, but still didn't do anything legally to stop the sale of the tape. Even after he was sued by a woman appearing in the videotape, he didn't really react. Now he has finally reacted with a lawsuit of his own. Stapp''s filing alleges that two tapes, described as a "video diary" of his 1999 tour, were stolen from a safe at his house, according to the AP. The claim states that Red Light District - the company that released the Paris Hilton sex tape "One Night in Paris" - violated Stapp''s trademark and privacy rights, causing him embarrassment, pain, suffering and emotional distress. The suit seeks a restraining order barring the company from distributing the video. We shall continue to keep track of the ever-entertaining legal aspects of this adventure.
