Let's be honest, everyone who's heard Lady Sovereign really, really likes her.

But she's bombed like an especially leaky water balloon over here in the UK.

Which is why it comes as such a surprise that, over in the States, she's doing a Blunty and working with some serious music biz heavyweights.

Not only has she signed a record deal with Jay-Z's Def Jam Records (the only non-US artist on their roster over there), but she's also been spending some quality studio time with Beastie Boy, Ad Rock!

No doubt, she'll be rapping about pastrami sandwiches and the New York Yankees instead of hoodies and asbos soon.

But she hasn't totally forgotten about us over here in Britishland - and she'll be releasing a limited edition EP, 'Blah Blah', on April 17 to prove the point.
