Former Stone Roses singer Ian Brown is planning to rework many of his songs as classical music compositions for a series of forthcoming gigs.

The singer plans to use his British hit "F.E.A.R.," a song that already features a heavy orchestral influence, as the centerpiece of the live dates.

Speaking to The Daily Star, Brown said: "I'm planning some classical dates where I can do things like 'F.E.A.R.' It already has strings on it, but I'll get some other things re-scored as well. I'll get the orchestra in Adidas tracksuits and I'll wear the dickie bow and the suit. That's what I'm planning for next year."

Brown, who spent time in Britain's Strangeways prison in 1998 following an air rage incident, went on to reveal that he is also planning on playing prison gigs in the near future.

"I'm going to get permission from three or four jails, including Preston," he explained.
