Ne-Yo's "So Sick" fell to No. 3, while Canadian singer/songwriter Daniel Powter's "Bad Day" climbed three to No. 2, and English balladeer James Blunt's former chart-topper "You're Beautiful" slipped one to No. 4. R&B veteran Mary J. Blige's "Be Without You" rounded out the top-five, also down one place.
English pop singer Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten" rose one to No. 6, followed by two songs that were both up two places: Dem Franchize Boyz' "Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It" featuring Lil Peanut & Charlay and T-Pain's "I'm N Luv (Wit a Stripper)" featuring Mike Jones.
Chris Brown's "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)" rose one to No. 9, and Beyonce's "Check On It" featuring Slim Thug fell two to No. 10.
Pearl Jam's "World Wide Suicide" was the Hot 100's top debut at No. 41, the rock group's highest debut on the Hot 100 since "Given to Fly" opened at No. 23 in 1998. The track also claimed the No. 1 spot on the airplay-based Modern Rock chart, as Nine Inch Nails' "Every Day Is Exactly the Same" fell to No. 2.
Also new to the Hot 100 were Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" featuring Wyclef Jean (No. 84), Panic! At The Disco's "The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide Is Press Coverage" (No. 88), Dierks Bentley's "Settle for a Slowdown" (No. 89), Remy Ma's "Conceited (There's Something About Remy)" (No. 93), 10 Years' "Wasteland" (No. 94), Shawnna's "Gettin' Some" (No. 96) and Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Gold Lion" (No. 97).
On the Hot Latin Songs chart, Wisin & Yandel's "Llame Pa' Verte" captured the top spot, ending the 15-week run of Daddy Yankee's "Rompe," which fell to No. 2. Nelly's "Grillz" featuring Paul Wall, Ali & Gipp held at No. 1 on the Hot Ringtones chart for an eighth week.
Kenny Chesney's "Living In Fast Forward" spent a third week atop the Hot Country Songs tally, and Godsmack's "Speak" rose one spot on the Mainstream Rock chart, seizing the No. 1 position from Nickelback's "Animals."
