RED DELIVERS ITS FIRST NATIONAL ALBUM END OF SILENCE JUNE 6

Band Supported By Tremendous Fan Base

(Nashville, Tenn.) March 29, 2006 – Red (Essential Records) will release its first nationally distributed project End of Silence on June 6. Musically influenced by artists such as Linkin Park, Chevelle, and Muse, Red brings a unique blend of roiling guitars, epic string arrangements, strong melodies, and passionate vocals. The songs on End of Silence deconstruct struggles that listeners face, while painting a picture of redemption in the midst of brokenness.

According to lead vocalist Mike Barnes, “‘Red’ stands for the blood of Christ and what it represents: passion, pain, but ultimately, redemption.” The End of Silence track listing includes: “(Intro) End of Silence,” “Breathe Into Me,” “Let Go,” “Already Over,” “Lost,” “Pieces,” “Break Me Down,” “Wasting Time,” “Gave It All Away,” “Hide”, and “Already Over, Pt. 2.”

The five-member band (Mike Barnes, lead vocals; Anthony Armstrong, guitar; Randy Armstrong, bass; Jasen Rauch, guitar; and Hayden Lamb, drums) has been tirelessly developing the eleven-track album with Dove-nominated producer/songwriter Rob Graves over the past two years. End of Silence was mixed by Ben Grosse (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fuel, Sixpence None the Richer).

Bass guitarist Randy Armstrong, identical twin brother of guitarist Anthony Armstrong, hopes their music communicates to listeners that they are not alone in their struggles. “You never know what people are dealing with in their everyday lives, but I am willing to bet that at some point, we all have experienced the same feelings of anger, sadness, and confusion. Our music addresses a lot of those experiences; those feelings, and the situations that caused them. I hope our music inspires people to ask questions and seek God, and know that they are not alone.”

Already touring heavily in the mid-west and west coast, Red has quickly made many fans along the way. With more than 20,000 friends on MySpace (www.myspace.com/dropofRed), this band has made it a priority to write each and every fan back personally. Red is serious about the relationships they enjoy with their fans and strive to stick around after every show until the last person has left the venue.

Red will be touring its dynamic, energetic show this spring with Day of Fire on the Reborn tour through April and May. They will also be playing many major festivals this summer and will continue to tour into the fall. Red has toured with Spoken, The Fold, and Dizmas, among others.

The first single “Breathe Into Me” from End of Silence will impact rock radio formats in April.
