Prodigy to headline Creamfields U.K. this summer

Popular British dance music festival Creamfields U.K. has announced Prodigy will headline the single day event this year, slated to take place Aug. 26 in Daresbury, Halton. Gnarls Barkley, Goldfrapp and The Zutons will join Prodigy on the main stage.

Now in its 9th year, the event is moving to a new site in the heart of England’s northwest countryside. The new site will cover several acres and host an expected attendance on par with last year's event, which brought in a capacity crowd of 40,000 to the all-day show.

Event producers will partner of a second year with Galaxy Radio, who gave the event wide coverage in 2005. Creamfields 2006 will be broadcast exclusively across the Galaxy network (www.galaxyfm.co.uk) reaching over 2.5 million listeners.

Tickets for the event are a flat rate of $94 (54 pounds).
