Queensryche, Lacuna Coil, Poison Hit the Charts Hard in Debut

Queensryche’s "Operation: Mindcrime II" will enter next week’s Billboard 200 chart at #14 after selling 44,000 copies in it’s first week. This, more than one and a half times the sales of QR’s last studio album, Tribe which sold 20,000 copies in it’s first week of release.
The top selling Queensryche album to date is Empire which is certified triple-platinum with more than 3 million copies sold in the United States. The original “Operation: Mincrime” and 1994’s “Promised Land” have each achieved Platinum status (1 million or more units sold) in the United States.
Two other pure rock highlights in the coming chart: Lacuna Coil’s “Karmacode” will debut at #28 with just under 34,000 U.S. units scanned, and Poison’s 20th anniversary album, "The Best of Poison: 20 Years of Rock" sells almost 40,000 copies in it’s first week to notch the #17 spot on the chart.

This is a good album. . .very solid. I am glad to see that the public is taking it to heart, this is the success that this band deserves, success post-Chris DeGarmo.

Satan: I don't know where you buy your discs but no one is out of OMCII. Queensryche have yet to chart lower than Billboard's top 200 with any release in their catalog so i'd have to imagine that OMCII shipped gold

The fact that the album sold 40,000 copies and everyone is sold out of it means that Rhino didn't have faith in the band to print up more copies. I doubt that the album will make a return trip to the top 20 next week, even after they print more copies.

Yes I apologize to everyone who has had to read my stupid repetitive rants saying the same thing over and over every single day. I literally have nothing else to talk about. Have I posted today that I love Queensryche? I hate Dream Theatre. God that feels good, I'll be back in 30 minutes to post the exact same thing again.

The new Ryche Cd is very interesting.. and a really cool disc to discuss..love it or hate it.. its quite a statement disc.. and I feel its very heavy.. and tate is an amazing singer..
