Quick Hits: Radiohead, Alice In Chains, Jennifer Lopez, Disturbed, Three Days Grace, Def Leppard, Fatboy Slim, Ladytron
April 7, 2006

On their upcoming North American tour, Radiohead is considering multiple-night stands in cities such as Philadelphia, Toronto, Chicago and Montreal. Billboard reports the tour will begin in June, with specific dates and venues still to be determined. The only North American appearance announced thus far is at Bonnaroo.

Alice In Chains have confirmed that Comes With The Fall's William DuVall will take over for their late frontman Layne Staley on their upcoming European tour, according to Blabbermouth.net. AIC's manager also promises to expect "a few surprises" on the tour. They will kick off their European tour on May 26 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez has booked four overseas dates for later this month. She will be appearing in India, United Arab Emirates, Greece and Turkey. Lopez promised to go on tour last year in support of Rebirth, and said it is hard to tour with her lifestyle. "I've tried to plan a tour so many times, " Lopez told MTV.com. "Because of the fact that I work in film, it's been hard. It's been hard to map out that amount of time to really do it right."

After dates in New Zealand and Australia, Disturbed have announced a new set of spring North American tour dates, according to Blabbermouth.net. It will kick off on May 20 in Waterloo, IA and conclude on June 4 in Toronto, Canada. Disturbed is also scheduled for a string of festival appearances with Ozzfest which kicks off on June 29 in Auburn, WA.

Expect a new album from Three Days Grace on June 13. Entitled One-X, the album was recorded by producer Howard Benson who has worked with the likes of P.O.D. and Flyleaf. A video for their first single, "Animal I Have Become," which just arrived at radio, will be ready by late April.

Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott said that the band pushed the release of their upcoming covers album from last fall in order to keep it from "falling into obscurity." Entitled Yeah!, it will now be released on May 23. "We wanted to put it out, tour (to support) it and make it a legitimate record rather than just some throwaway thing," Elliott told Billboard. "And we were kind of happy with the way it turned out. Essentially a covers album is supposed to be about fun. It's revisiting your youth and showing the world where your true roots are. It shouldn't be a labor of love." Def Leppard will kick off their summer tour with Journey on June 23 in Camden, NJ.

Fatboy Slim will release a greatest hits album on June 20 featuring classic tracks such as "The Rockafeller Skank" and "Going Out Of My Head." Entitled The Greatest Hits - Why Try Harder, the disc will also feature the brand new single "That Old Pair Of Jeans." Fatboy Slim will also be releasing a full DVD called The Greatest Hits - Why Make Videos, which will include the award-winning "Praise You."

Ladytron have just announced their long-awaited U.S. tour dates in support of their latest CD, Witching Hour. It will kick off on April 14 in Washington, D.C. and conclude on May 3 in Pomona, CA. The dance rockers are also about to release their new remix CD/DVD entitled Extended Play. It will be released on April 25 and includes five remixes from Witching Hour plus previously unreleased b-sides. The DVD will feature special extras such as two music videos and a behind-the-scenes clips from their tour of China.
