PHILADELPHIA, May 4, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ween, Disco Biscuits, Secret Machines, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, World Party, and much more will star in the 21st Annual Captain Morgan's Jam on the River. Still the Official Kick Off to Summer in Philadelphia, Captain Morgan's Jam on the River at Penn's Landing celebrated 20 years in 2005, and kicks off the next 20 years this May 2006. The 21st annual event will again take place Memorial Day Weekend, May 27-28, on the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing. The Annual Philadelphia Festival attracts crowds of 20,000 to the waterfront, and has become one of the biggest ``JAMBAND'' festivals held inside a major city. This year, for the first time, there will be late night shows at ELECTRIC FACTORY, just a few blocks from Penn's Landing. Saturday late night will feature Dark Star Orchestra and Sunday's show will feature Disco Biscuits.

Gates will open at 11:30am on Saturday, May 27, opening day of Captain Morgan's Jam on the River. The line up, beginning at 1pm on Saturday includes: The Blue Method, World Party, Benevento/Russo Duo, New Deal, and the Disco Biscuits will return to Jam for a fourth year to take the stage on Saturday night to close the first night of the event.

On Sunday, May 28, the second day and final day of the festival will feature: Kinion, Grace Potter, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Secret Machines, and Railroad Earth. Ween will headline Sunday to end the festival. Tickets are $29.50 each day of the festival, and on sale now through Ticketmaster.
