Billy Talent leads MuchMusic noms

(CP) - Billy Talent, Kardinal Offishall and Massari lead this year's nominees for the MuchMusic video music awards.

They each scored five nods each, followed by Nova Scotia rockers The Trews with four.

Green Day, Kanye West, Nickelback, Metric and City And Colour round out the top spots with three nominations apiece.

The festival-style awards show takes place June 18th, when musicians and celebrities take over Toronto's club-lined Queen Street with a red carpet parade and live performances.

Pre-show coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. ET and the outdoor show begins at 9 p.m. ET on MuchMusic.
