Hip-Hop Rumors: DJ Clue & Gabrielle Union? T-Pain & Dead Prez? Brooke Valentine's A D-Girl?

DJ CLUE CAME UP!

Gabrielle Union is quite possibly the finest Black female in Hollywood, but I heard she’s cavorting with one of New York’s biggest DJs. YEP, DJ CLUE. Now, I won’t start with the over-the-top speculating. I will just say that there was a sighting of the pair dining at a spot called Butter in New York about two weeks ago (Sorry, I forgot!). I don’t know if that football fellow will like this one. I can't say that this is true! Maybe Clue wants to get his act on?

T-PAIN VERSUS DEAD PREZ

Is T-Pain like Michael Jackson, “wanna be starting something?” Maybe, if the rumors are correct. Dead prez is from Tallahassee (actually only stic.man is a native) and T-Pain, the “rappa-turned-sanger” also hails from the Florida city. Well, T-Pain recently came back for a “welcome home” party and let his voice shine through. In addition to celebrating, T-Pain allegedly took a small verbal shot at the revolutionary rappers. I heard T-Pain said that he is the only one reppin’ for Tallahassee and that dead prez don’t often shout out the city, making them out to be something of a forgotten entity in the city. Did I mention that Pain went on to dis local haters and radio stations that have been spreading rumors? I hope that doesn’t include internet rumors or I’m toast!

SWEET SMELLS FOR STRONG WOMEN!

She’s a hustler, baby! Suga-T is E-40’s lil’ sis and I thought she was pretty hot (Remember “Sprinkle me girl, sprinkle me girl, sprinkle me girl?”) Well, she is back, but not in the form you might have seen her in the past. Suga-T has jumpstarted a new “bidness” called “Suga-T Fragrances” with the slogan “Sweet smells for strong women.” She has fragrances like Bougie Style, Traffic Style, Sweet Hands & Foot Lotion and even offers prayer pillows. AHHH, but the site also allows you to purchase her new “empowerment” CD called Be About It. GIRL FIGHTIN’ DOPE GIRL?

Last album Brooke Valentine was all in the girl fights, but now she’s flipping the script. Her new song is called “D-Girl (Dope Girl)” and it’s the first single from her next album, Physical Education. Can I say I’m just getting tired of the drug raps and now to hear a drug singer? Uh – I’m going to pass. Pimp C makes an appearance on this song, which is catchy, and NWA’s “Dope Man” is sampled. The sounds are infectious, but the message is quite jacked up. Believe it or not this is a picture of Bow Wow, Breauna (right), Bow Wow, and Ciara (left) at the Wanted Tour in Charleston SC. Breauna says that Bow Wow has been changing the lyrics of “Fresh Azimiz” from "Talk around town as if I'm with Ciara" to "I'm single now, I ain't with Ciara." Go ahead, young pimp! (Bow Wow is smiling on the inside!)
