Cassidy hints at return

Donegal defender Kevin Cassidy has admitted that he would be delighted to once again wear the county jersey although much to the disappointment of the Ulster countys supporters that will not be happening this year.
Cassidy has left the country to travel around the world for the next year and will definitely not be in the Donegal squad for the remainder of the year.
The Gweedore footballer was dropped off the panel just before the Division Two NFL final against Louth for breaching disciplinary rules along with club mate Eamonn McGee.
However, McGee returned to the squad a few weeks later and although Cassidy was asked to return also, he declined the offer from Donegal manager Brian McIver.
Instead, the All-Star winner will travel around the world, but he admitted that a return to the squad next year was very much on the cards.
“These past few months have been pretty difficult and there were a lot of things said and done which was regrettable,” admitted Cassidy. I am still only 24 and if they want me back then I would be interested in a return.”
