Cerys signs up for Big Weekend

Cerys Matthews will return to Wales to headline the Big Weekend in Cardiff this summer. The former Catatonia singer, who is currently recording her second solo album, will play the free Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend on August 6. She will be joined by Welsh bands The Alarm, The Automatic and The Crimea as well as Kubb and Paul Young. The mother-of-two will hit the stage after Katrina and the Waves and Stereo MCs as she headlines the Sunday night. Matthews will also play two Welsh gigs in Llangollen and Cardiff in July to celebrate the follow-up to 2004's Cockahoop.
