Krohn, Oleavia (Ullman Guth)
Oleavia (Ullman Guth) Krohn, 94, died Saturday June 17, 2006, at Algoma Long Term Care in Algoma. She was born Sept. 10, 1911, in the town of Brussels, to the late August and Emma (Radtke) Ullman. Oleavia married Clarence Guth on April 4, 1929, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Kolberg. They owned and operated East Lincoln Cheese Factory from 1932 to 1951. They then moved to Algoma. Clarence preceded her in death March 4, 1959. Oleavia married Otto Krohn, Sept. 10, 1963, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Algoma. Otto preceded her in death Jan. 8, 1987. She was a member of St. Paul's Ladies Aid and past president of the Altar Guild. She worked for Beaches Dime Store and Lawn and Garden Center.
Oleavia is survived by: two sons, Clyde (Betty) Guth, Green Bay, Gerald (Mary Lou) Guth, Algoma, one daughter Linda DeMeuse, Algoma, two stepdaughters, Janet (Chuck) Elliason, Bullhead, Arizona, Nancy Jensen, Henderson, Nevada, one stepson Robert (Diane) Krohn, Sturgeon Bay, 13 grandchildren, five step grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, one great great grandson.
Oleavia was the last survivor of her family, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Elfrieda Sommers, Leona Augsburg, Odelia Miller, four brothers, Otto, Rudolph, Glenard, and Raynold.
Friends may call at Wiesner and Massart Funeral Home, 1617 Flora Ave., Algoma from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Roy Beyer officiating. Burial in the Evergreen Cemetery.
