Feeder Cattle: Higher, Extremely Good Demand In Oklahoma City
Compared to last week: Feeder steers 2.00-6.00 higher, most advance over 850 lbs. Feeder heifers steady to 3.00 higher. Demand extremely good out the north as feedlots are emptying quicker than they can be filled. Numbers of feeding cattle in the north are extremely light and expected to remain as such till the fall. Steer and heifer calves 3.00-8.00 higher. Demand for calves much improved due to good general rains of 1.00-2.00 inches over much of the state. Quality plain to average. Flesh conditions continue attractive and slightly thin to medium flesh, few in moderate condition. Weigh-ups mostly average.
