New names to "Moldejazz"
The annual jazz festival in Molde has new names. Among the news are Kings of Convenience and Elvira Nikolaisen.

The Norwegian duo Kings of Convenience will do one of their two concerts in Norway during the jazz festival in Molde this summer. The festival will run from 17 to 22 July. The new star Elvira Nikolaisen will also give a show.

Saxophonist Kjetil Møster, who received the honour as the jazz talent of the year under 30 years, will also participate. He makes his debut with the band Sextet, and he also take part in Trinity together with pianist Morten Quenild and The Core with guitarist Nils Olav Johansen.

Jazzmob, who has received brilliant critics for their new work Infernal Machine, is among the Norwegian artists performing. Jazz singer Kristin Asbjørnsen will represent her new project Spirituals in Molde Cathedral. She inherited the rich music material of the afro-American Ruth Reese in 1990, where she got access to a whole range of unknown spirituals.

Sting has invited his son Joe Sumner his band Fiction Plane who will be guests at Sting´s concert Wednesday 19 juli.

Other new names are MoHa!, Wibutee, Christiansand, String Swing Ensemble, SubTrio og Trio De Janeiro.
