(Bloomington, IN, AP) Indiana University trustees have two years to find a replacement for President Adam Herbert. The search officially began yesterday when the trustees formed a search committee.
Herbert plans to step down when his term expires in June 2008. And if officials find his replacement sooner, Herbert says he'll step down early.
Herbert said in January that he would leave the I.U. presidency with the end of his five-year contract. The trustees then said they would not conduct a review of Herbert's performance requested by some I.U. faculty members. Trustees' President Steve Ferguson says the search could cost about $200,000.
