Placebo amongst the confirmed names.
Placebo and Timo Mass are two of the names confirmed yesterday for this year's T In the Park festival.
The Scottish event, which shares it's line up with Ireland's Oxegen festival over the weekend of July 8-9, will also see Latin music star Manu Chao performing.
Headline acts confirmed include The Who, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kaiser Chiefs. T In The Park 2006 takes place in Balado, Kinross, Perthshire, on 8-9 July, and tickets sold out in record time last week after going on general sale.
69,000 tickets were sold in less than an hour after going on sale, and touts have taken to the Internet to offer massively inflated prices. At last check, a pair of weekend camping tickets were fetching over £350, due in part to Glastonbury being closed this year.
T in the Park's chief executive, Geoff Ellis said: "Tickets are limited to two per person, and they will be named and scanned on entry. We recommend that fans don't buy from unofficial sources, to ensure they do not fall victim to touting or fraud.
"If the source is not legitimate, there is no guarantee the tickets are genuine. Tickets will not be posted until ten days before the festival and they will have names on them."
More acts are due to be confirmed in the weeks ahead.
