A CHINESE football fan didn't let his house burning down get in the way of the World Cup.
Beijing man Lei Sung's wife said: "When the neighbours shouted 'fire' I took my baby and ran out in my nightclothes.
"My husband paid no attention to the danger, just grabbed the television and put it under his arm.
"After getting out of the house, he then set about finding an electric socket to plug in and continue watching his game."
Air-brained idea
BAGS of air from World Cup stadiums are being sold by a cheeky Chinese entrepreneur.
Li Jie, who previously flogged plots of land on the Moon, is selling them for 50 yuan - £3.40 - each.
He said: "The air was packed at the World Cup venues while the workers were cutting the grass."
Dead tired
STUNNED cops who arrived at a home with a search warrant found something totally unexpected - a skeleton tucked up in bed.
The 80-year-old owner of the home, in Cleveland, claimed it was her 98-year-old mum sleeping in bed. She had not been seen for three years.
Pedigree glum
