Some brit-rock bands never say die, and the Charlatans UK are soldiering on with the upcoming release of their ninth proper album. Titled Simpatico, the record will be their first released in the States in five years and also marks the first full-length for the band's new alliance with the Sanctuary label. Fans of shimmering brit-pop should mark their calanders for May 2, when the record is set to hit shops here in the States; folks over in the UK will luck out with an April 17 release date. In addition, the band will be the headliners during the XFM Manchester showcase at SXSW this year. A US tour will commence following the release of Simpatico.
