World's most heavily made-up couple separates after less three years of marriage.

Apparently there wasn't enough eyeliner in the world to keep together celebrity couple Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra. The glammy power couple, who lovingly called each other "dude" as they planned their nuptials on the MTV reality series Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave, endured less than three years of marriage before announcing yesterday (July 17) that they will be "amicably separating."

Already, the blogs and tabloids are abuzz with talk of an "MTV curse." Last November, another celebrity couple who broadcast their romance on an MTV reality show, Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson, decided to call it quits; their divorce was just finalized a month ago.

Both Navarro and Electra are old hands at the separation game. Electra was famously married to basketball bad boy Dennis Rodman for nine whole days before Rodman had the Vegas ceremony annulled, claiming he was too drunk to remember it. For Navarro, this marks the end of this third marriage.

Electra, a sometime Pussycat Doll (who did not appear on their album) and former Playboy Playmate, continues to have a successful film career, mostly playing improbably voluptuous babes (i.e. herself) in popcorn comedies like Date Movie and Scary Movie 4. She's working on her next film, I Want Candy, about two aspiring filmmakers who decide to make a porno to break into the legitimate film business.

For Navarro, a former guitarist for Jane's Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers and co-host of the CBS reality show Rockstar, this latest separation couldn't come at a better time. When his new band The Panic Channel hits the road in support of their forthcoming album (one), he's now free to nail all the groupies he wants.
