Mogador, a stakes-placed son of Danzig, will stand at Maryland Stallion Station (Don Litz, president) near Glyndon, Md.

Six-year-old Mogador won at a mile in 1:33.29 at Belmont Park and also scored at Saratoga and Aqueduct. He ran second in the Elusive Quality Stakes at Belmont and finished just 1 3/4 lengths behind the winner in the Tropical Turf Handicap (gr. IIIT) at Calder Race Course while fourth. He retired with 10 wins or placings from 11 starts and earnings of $172,370.

A half-brother to stakes-placed Dark Cheetah, Mogador is out of the Mt. Livermore mare Layounne, who is a half-sister to four graded or group winners. They include successful young sire Bernstein and the dam of grade I winner Sky Mesa. Mogador stands for $2,000.
