Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson are going into wedding overdrive as the two have announced that they will tie the knot in four separate ceremonies! The couple plans to swap vows in France, California, Michigan and Tennessee. "I'm going to get married a few times this month to the same guy," Anderson said Wednesday at a press conference for her gaming site, PamelaPoker.com, according to E! "We had to do Malibu, we've got to do Detroit, and we've got to do Nashville." The wedding bonanza will kick off this weekend with ceremony #1 on a yacht in the French Riviera.
Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger has been charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level over .08 in connection with an incident in Surrey on June 22, according to Canada's Globe and Mail. Kroeger was reportedly pulled over at 2 a.m. that morning because he was allegedly "speeding and driving erratically." He's scheduled to appear in court in Surrey on August 25, the same night Nickelback is supposed to play Houston. It is unclear how the court date will affect the band's tour.
Papa Roach’s new album, The Paramour Sessions, will be stores on September 12, but fans can already check out the new single “...To Be Loved” on the band’s official Web site, paparoach.com. The song will be available for sale exclusively on iTunes beginning August 1. Meanwhile, Papa Roach has also announced the full tracklist of the new CD, which features cuts like "Crash," "The World Around You," "Forever" and "Time Is Running Out."
The soundtrack to the upcoming documentary The U.S. vs. John Lennon will be bolstered with two unreleased Lennon songs. The 19-track CD will feature some of Lennon's best known hits as well as the unreleased tracks "Attica State," recorded live at the John Sinclair Freedom Rally in Ann Arbor, MI in 1971, and the film's instrumental version of "How Do You Sleep," according to Billboard.com. The soundtrack will be released September 26 via Capitol/EMI and the movie will be released in New York and Los Angeles on September 15, with a wide release scheduled for the end of the month. The itinerary for the Nintendo Fusion tour has been announced. Headlined by Hawthorne Heights, the trek begins in Columbus, OH on September 27 and winds up in Chicago on November 11. Also on the bill are Relient K, Emery, Plain White T's and The Sleeping.
New Found Glory has announced a 34-date North American tour in support of their upcoming album, Coming Home, which is due on September 19. Cartel and The Early November have been tapped as the opening acts. "It's going to be totally amazing to take all these new songs out on the road," guitarist Chad Gilbert told MTV.com. "We're going to do it big, but with some New Found Glory touches. We'll have some off days and we'd like to do some in-stores and maybe a couple of secret shows." The tour kicks off on October 4 in Cincinnati and is set to run through November 15 in Boston.
Gorillaz/Blur mastermind Damon Albarn has formed yet another band. Albarn and producer Danger Mouse are reportedly working on a new album called The Good The Bad And The Queen, according to the NME. The record has been recorded with a band consisting of Clash bassist Paul Simonon, former Verve and Blur guitarist Simon Tong and drummer Tony Allen. They plan to release their debut single in October, and the full album (a concept record about London) in January.
Sirius Satellite Radio's Jam On channel will air an eight-day celebration of the life and music of Jerry Garcia, called Not Fade Away: A Jam On Celebration of Jerry Garcia, from August 1 to 9. The programming will include friends, family members, former bandmates and other musicians sharing their memories of Garcia, as well as music from the Grateful Dead and his many side projects.
