PEACHES SLAMMED FOR 'BONO MUST DIE' ENDORSEMENT

PEACHES GELDOF has come under fire from her own dad SIR BOB GELDOF - for endorsing a British rock band called BONO MUST DIE. The 17-year-old socialite adores the alternative group, and has listed them as one of her influences on her MySpace internet profile page. But Geldof, who teamed up with fellow Irishman BONO for Live 8 last year (05), is less than impressed. A source tells British newspaper the Daily Star, "Bob knows it's cool in certain circles to mock Bono because he's become such a huge star since the indie beginnings of U2. "That doesn't mean, however, that he is happy to see Peaches endorsing it in any way so he's asked her to take the band's image off her site. "He's a BOOMTOWN RAT and knows about being young and wanting to stick two fingers up at the establishment but the line is blurred for him here."

comments:I think the name of that rock band is in very poor taste. I have nothing
against young new rock bands. But Bono Must Die, is just a terrible statement,
let alone a name for a band. Maybe they think it's sarcastic or some kind of
joke, but Bono is an admireable humanitarian, who is trying to save LIVES, with
his campaigns and endeavors to make poverty history, and to save human life
from AIDS, disease, and starvation. ect. If I was in that band, I would most
certianly change the name. What is the world coming too!

comments:If this is the height of this band's creativity, they'll be long gone quite
soon. Getting famous on somebody else's back just doesn't work and you
certainly don't get any respect.. Bono is big enough to handle this sort of
thing, and it is something that he would never have done to anyone else because
he has class and quality and love, and became rich and famous by his own hard
work...
