Farmer's Market Still Open

The heat and lack of rain is to blame for several lost crops this year. But many crops survived and farmers say need your business. These peaches are smaller, but much sweeter. These peaches are larger, but just not as firm. As for the corn, there isn't any for sale at all.

But while there's not as much corn, there are much more farmers are trying to sell.

Business has not been as great and vendors are scared that customers don't think they have anything to sell.

Jackie Letson works with Scott's Orchard in Hazel Green. They didn't suffer as much because they have an irrigation system.

But the heat is causing them to pick things quicker. Which means they need to sell their products quicker, and get the word out to consumers.

The Decatur Farmers market will remain open through late October.
