Newsday

We spoke with actress Raven (a.k.a. Raven-Symone), star of Disney Channel’s “That’s So Raven,” in Manhattan recently.

Q. What has been your most fun episode on “That’s So Raven”?

A. The one called “Country Cousins” (it first aired on July 29, 2005) because I got to play a lot of different and funny characters.

Q. You get to wear a lot of disguises on the show. Do you have a favorite?

A. I loved the episode where I played a plumber. I thought I looked like Mario (from Nintendo’s Mario Bros.), and I had fun playing that character.

Q. Is there a famous person who you would like to play your boyfriend on the show?

A. Well, I liked Devon (played by Lil J). And even though he’s moved away, he’s a good boyfriend.

Q. We love your new That’s So Raven fragrance and cosmetics. Do you have favorite colors to wear on your nails and lips?

A. I usually like my nails to look natural, even though today I’m wearing a dark nail polish. I like to wear a French manicure or clear nail polish when I’m doing the TV show because I change into so many outfits, I wouldn’t want my nail polish not to match them all. On my lips, I like to wear peach to tone down the color of my lips which are very pink.

Q. Do you plan on making a cologne just for boys?

A. If you think that’s a good idea, I will definitely work on it!

You can learn more about Raven on her Web site, www.ravenlive.com. Raven will be performing at the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis at 3 and 7 p.m. Aug. 14. Admission is free with a voucher. For information, visit www.in.gov/statefair.
