Damien Rice announces Vicar Street shows

Damien Rice has announced two shows at Dublin's Vicar Street on Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 August.

These shows will be a warm-up to his performance at the Electric Picnic music festival.

As well as headlining the Electric Stage on Friday 1 September, Rice is also curating the Big Tree stage at the Electric Picnic.

For his Vicar Street shows Rice will be joined by the full band - Lisa Hannigan (vocals), Tom Osander (drums), Shane Fitzsimons (bass) and Vyvienne Long (cello) - plus Joel Shearer on guitars and Cora Venus Lunny on viola/violin.

Special guests on each night will be Fionn Regan and Pedestrian.

Tickets, priced €28, go on sale tomorrow, Saturday 22 July, from Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide.
