Snow Patrol will be forever linked to Grey’s Anatomy as much as Phantom Planet are to The OC, and they didn’t even write the theme tune. So how did band and medical drama bond so closely that Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars” video was re-cut to feature clips of the show?
Simple: the most touching and tear-jerking television moment of the years. After a particularly charged finale episode with Burke being shot and Derek having to operate on his friend, our hearts will always break hearing this song and thinking of Izzy holding Denny in his hospital bed…
Oh, and it’s an awesome song too.
