*Rap group UGK will drop its upcoming seventh studio album, “Return of the Trill,” in early September, MTV reports. "We're tryin' to make that Grammy cutoff," said group member Bun B. "We're basically gonna go back to the basics, back to the roots of the UGK foundation." Producers on the project include Lil Jon, Manny Fresh and Jazze Pha.

*Pop star Frankie J returns to the spotlight with “Priceless,” his third solo English album, in stores Tuesday, October 17. The 12-track disc features production from Mannie Fresh, Bryan Michael Cox, Play N Skillz, Happy Perez, Adonis and guest appearances by artists such as Chamillionaire, Slim from 112 and Bone Thugs & Harmony. The first single, "That Girl" (produced by Mannie Fresh and featuring Chamillionaire) is currently one of the most added singles on radio across the country.

*Gnarls Barkley’s debut album, “St. Elsewhere,” has just been certified platinum by the RIAA for sales exceeding one million units in the U.S. The set’s first single, “Crazy,” recently made history for occupying the most radio airplay charts in a single week, sitting atop eight different radio formats, including Top 40, Triple A, Hot AC, Alternative, AC, Urban, Dance and Rhythmic.

*Also due Oct. 17 is the sixth studio album from rapper Xzibit, titled “Full Circle.” The Open Bar Entertainment/Koch Records disc features first single, “Concentrate,” produced by Bay Area beatmaker Rick Rock and due on radio shortly. Like Snoop Dogg’s new single “Vato,” Xzibit deals with the tension between Latinos and African Americans in Los Angeles on the track “Black and Brown,” which encourages the two groups to work together.  Keith Shocklee of the Bomb Squad (Public Enemy, Ice Cube) co-executive produced the album with Xzibit, recorded in Long Island, NY and Los Angeles.  The album features DJ Quik, King Tee, The Game, Daz, Kurupt, T-Pain, Donelle Rawlings (“Chappelle’s Show”) & Jelly Roll, among others.
