Public urination now a misdemeanor in Las Vegas

If you get the urge to relieve yourself outside and not in a restroom, you are facing a misdemeanor charge.

The City Council passed an ordinance making it an offence to urinate outdoors as well as sleeping within 500 feet of urine or excrement. However, the city attorney said that last part about sleeping near it was a mistake and will not be enforced.

The City says the provision will be altered and will appear on the next council agenda in September.
