After completing the 2005 season with a school-best 7-2 record, Legacy Christian Academy is looking forward to its 2006 campaign.

LCA released its fall schedules for the football and volleyball teams this week. Some games and times are yet to be finalized, but the landscape of the new season is starting to come together.

The Eagles' six-man football team will open its season Sept. 15 at home against Fort Worth Temple Christian. A week later, LCA will travel to Dallas A+ Academy. The Eagles defeated DAA 59-30 last season.

Legacy has no opponent for the week of Oct. 6, but the athletic department is diligently working to fill the open date with another match.

The Eagles will open their district season against Dallas Tyler Street Oct. 13 in the first of four consecutive away games. Legacy will play its final non-district game against Tyler Grace Oct. 20 before district games at Tyler Bullard Brook Hill and Rockwall Christian.

Legacy will end the regular season with its homecoming match against Irving Highlands Nov. 10.

The junior varsity team will open its season at home against Canyon Creek Sept. 7. It has six games on the current schedule, including two games against First Baptist and a home season finale against Harvest Christian Oct. 26.

The Lady Eagles volleyball program also had a successful 2005 campaign. The varsity team finished its season in the TAPPS regional tournament in Austin after an unbeaten district season. This year's team played its first match against Denton Calvary Aug. 10. It will continue its season with home games Monday and Tuesday.

The Lady Eagles will open their district schedule against Rockwall Christian Sept. 12.
