TOUCH OF CLASSIC: Opera singer Alfie Boe
TOUCH OF CLASSIC: Opera singer Alfie Boe

Star Alfie dreaming of a chart success
OPERA star Alfie Boe will release his first CD on Monday – and is dreaming of cracking the classical charts.
The former TVR worker has the backing of Classic FM, giving it every chance of being a big seller.
Alfie, 31, from Fleetwood, said: "I view this as a breakthrough. Hopefully it's a turning point in that it puts me in a different arena and a couple of rungs up the ladder.
"I am very positive about it. Everyone has been very interested in it. If we work hard on it, it should be a success."
The CD – titled Alfie Boe – was recorded in the Czech Republic with the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Gareth Hancock.
It features some of opera's most popular arias, including Puccini's Nessun Dorma.
He will be making a personal appearance at Blackpool's HMV store on Friday September 15 at 5pm.
He will also be performing at the Royal Albert Hall on September 21 as part of Classic FM concert.
An on-line video of Alfie singing at this year's Blackpool illuminations switch-on can be accessed at www.brilpr.co.uk.
