Arab Strap Split

Arab Strap

by Daniel Zugna

September 8 2006

After ten years together, Scottish indie-folk duo Arab Strap have decided to part ways.

Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton have reportedly made a mutual decision to disband, in order to pursue their respective solo careers. There will be one final release, ‘Ten Years Of Tears’, a collection of b-sides and unreleased tracks, to be released October 23.

Middleton’s second solo album, ‘Into The Woods’, was released to vast critical acclaim in 2005. Moffat’s solo project, which goes under the moniker Lucky Pierre, has also produced two successful albums.
