Cee-Lo Gets Best Of Treatment

Back in 94, Cee-Lo Green rapped, "I get high, but I don't get too high," on "Git Up, Git Out"-- a song on Outkast's Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. It's true; the man is out-there, but nothing if not motivated. Especially of late, he has collaborated with everyone and all of their mothers under names such as Lovestink (now the Heart Attack) and something called Gnarls Barkley (maybe you've heard of it). That snake movie's soundtrack even had a Cee-Lo song!

It makes sense, then, that the man would be given his own "best of" compilation. But old school heads, fear not! There are no songs from any of Green's 2006 incarnations (not even "Crazy") on Closet Freak: The Best of Cee-Lo Green the Soul Machine, set to arrive October 31 via Arista/Legacy, according to Billboard.com.

The collection consists of 18 tracks taken from Cee-Lo's two solo albums and Goodie Mob's debut, Soul Food. The aforementioned Outkast collaboration is also included.

Finally, Billboard.com also reports that St. Elsewhere has sold 920,000 copies in the U.S. So much for being a closet freak.
