Pam Sly is hopeful Speciosa will have recovered from a septic leg to run in the Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.
The setback has not prevented the 1000 Guineas winner from cantering all week and the filly came through stronger exercise this morning.
'She had a quicker workout today. She's alright, but she's not sparkling because she's got this septic leg,' said Sly.
'She's had it since last Thursday but it's going down now. It's a bit of a nuisance. Hopefully, we're going to get there. I shall declare her, it's back at Newmarket where she is unbeaten in three races and on the wet ground.'
