The King Of Pop, Rock & Soul-Michael Jackson

MichaelMania

Born in Gary, Indiana, Michael grew up in a musical family. His father Joseph Walter Jackson brought together Tito, Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael who formed the Jackson 5. They were a great success. A few years later Jermaine decided to take the leap of being a solo artist and was replaced by Randy and the group were reborn as the Jacksons. Michael descended from his father and in stepped Quincy Jones. In 1979 Michael released his solo album Off the Wall, which sold 11 million copies around the world. Later, he released Thriller which became the biggest selling album ever, it stayed on the number 1 spot for an unbelievable 37 weeks. Thriller's intial success was in no small part due to Michael's legendary performance of Billie Jean at the 25th Motown Records Anniversary Show, which left everyone moonstruck. He recorded Bad and watched it become the 2nd largest album ever. In 1993 his world was shattered when he faced allegations of child molestation. But the case was closed when no evidence was found against him. In 1995 Michael Jackson came up with HIStory, which expresses his anger with the media and his views towards the environment. His recent album, Invincible has sold 10 million copies around the world. We highly recomend this album to any MJ fan out there. Some people judge him by whether his last album sells, but you should judge him for the good he's done. Using his strength, fame, money and heart to help children heal the world.
