He attended the American 2002 mtv awards that very night, where Brittney Spears gave him a birthday cake and announced that Michael jackson had won the 2002 artist of the millenium award. Michael Jackson was so thrilled he was almost speachless. he did say that if he was a little boy in gary, Indiana and told that he would win the Artist of the millenium award he would never have believed it!
