Against The Wall -One-

*....*coughs*....Hi ._. It feels so weird writing on here again O.o Anyway, got this idea by listening to Against The Wall by Ill NiÃ±o on repeat for like...2 hours xD So...yeah...things might seem a little weird at first but please give me time to re-adjust to this site =) Enjoy!

"Maddie, I have to say, if your husband is abusive, I-"

"I am not abusive!"

"Then how do you explain all of the bruises on her? As I was saying, I think it would be best if you get out of the marriage now, if you stay married for too long, you could develope various mental and emotional issues, it could traumatize you."

"And who are you to say that-"

"I'm just a marriage counselor, it's my job to give me opinion on what's best for the marriage." Paige Schwarz reminded calmly, though she wanted to snap back at the older man.

"Thank you, Paige." Maddie murmured before getting up and hurrying out of the office.

Paige sighed and glanced at the man, who was now giving her a hard glare. "You're the one who scared her away. All I did was-" She cut herself off when he stood up also, following what Paige hoped to be his 'soon ex-wife' and slammed the door.

"Not too late to think about quiting, Pai." Paige mumbled to herself as she glanced down at her paperwork, letting out a groan. "Definitely not too late."

"-But then again..."

Paige rolled her eyes and grinned as she continued to listen to Matt ramble on and on about something she didn't even remember at that point. Was it something about getting a job at that coffee shop? Or was it...

"But then, really the only order I can remember is mine and yours. I can't memorize orders that quickly, you know."

Yeah, definitely the coffee shop. "I say you should go for it. I could help you with your memorizing problem, anyway. Plus, haven't you always been saying something about that cute guy that goes there every Monday and Friday? If you get the job..."

"I could actually get a chance to talk to him." Matt's eyes visibly brightened at the thought, making Paige smile. Her best friend has definitely been single for too long.

"Well, you should try to date again to, it-"

"I'm not dating again. I've told you that before." Paige reminded darkly, fists clenching at her sides.

"It's been 6 years, Pai. Besides, you and Gale were young, 19-21."

"I was young, he wasn't. He should've known not to..." Paige trailed off, biting her lip sadly.

"You gotta let it go, Pai. And that should start by forgiving Raine. She didn't know any better." Matt pointed out with a sad smile.

"We used to be so close." Paige mumbled as she fumbled with her locket.

"She's your twin, of course you two were close. But you shut her out after the whole thing happened. I'm sure she'll forgive you if you just apologised though." Matt pressed, watching Paige's reaction.

"Give me a week, okay? I guess I'll think about it...but with this new couple I'm meeting tomorrow, it'll be hard to think about it." Paige quickly changed the subject, desperate to talk about something else.

"Who's the couple?"

"Believe it or not, Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley."

*Soooo? =D Michael and Lisa come up in the next chapter. Stay tuned, everyone! =D
