Quick intro - Hi everybody. My name is Naomi and I'm new here. Nice to meet you all! Michael.. If you are still alive and if you're reading this, let me introduce myself. My name is Naomi, but my friends call me Nomie. I'm 13 years old and I live in Adelaide, Australia. I'm a huge fan of your music. The first time I listened to your music was when I was 9. I remember my mom was listening to Billie Jean on the radio and I asked her who it was. She said "Michael Jackson, honey" I instantly loved the song. There was something about it. The beat, the tune, the lyrics, the vocals, I couldn't put my finger on it. It was surreal. Such a different song. I LOVED IT. It's amazing that even then, in 2005, your music has still been able to touch the new generation. My 10 year old cousin Haydn, has recently become a fan. Last week, when we visited him, I walked in the front door to find him blasting Thriller on in the lounge room and Moonwalking all over the place. He absolutely adores you. I'm proud to say that we're officially your #1 fans haha. I'm a big fan of Janet's work too. I love All for You and Rythym Nation. She is hugely talented and she should be proud of what she has accomplished. Prince I, Paris and Blanket look more and more like you every day. Blanket especially. He has your eyes and hair. I hope the papparazi respect their privacy. I pray for them and Nanna Katherine every day because I feel like they must be going through some big changes and it (as you said) isn't easy growing up in the spotlight. I have actually got a dream that when I grow up, I'm going to be a pop artist. Sure, it seems like a long shot and I've had people laugh right at me when I told them. But, I'm never going to give up and I'm going to work really hard to achieve my goals. I've been gaining confidence as I've gotten older and in 2008, I sang in front of a few hundred (or thousand not sure) people at the Royal Adelaide Show. It is like an annual carnival that comes to Adelaide every September. There are rides, clowns, acts, games and best of all FAIRY FLOSS!! mmmmm. I bet you'd love it! Anyway, I gained up enough confidence to sing solo at the Show and when my song had finished, there was a standing ovation! It was one of the best moments of my life. I was offered to sing solo at the Australian Festival Theatre but I didn't accept because I could tell I wasn't ready for THAT! Last year, when I heard you had died, I lost all that confidence. It has been a rough 9 months but I've learned that I don't need you here physically to lead the way. But I need you here in spirit. I do. Take Billie Jean for example. I have that beat, tune, lyrics and vocals to keep me going. Thankyou Michael. You've really inspired me to think bigger in life and go after my dreams. You've shown Haydn that there is music that is easy to dance to and sing to. IF you are alive, then please don't feel pressured to show yourself for your fans. Just do what you feel is best for your kids, your family and most of all YOURSELF. Rest well Mikey, you deserve it. Love, Naomi. PS IF you decide to come back, please don't hesitate to send me an autograph in the mail. HAHAHA just kidding!
